Bernard Somers is a graduate of University College Dublin and a chartered accountant. He is principal of Somers & Associates and specialises in corporate and debt restructuring. He has been an adviser to many of Ireland’s largest companies. At present he advises a range of borrowers primarily arising from the collapse of the property market in Ireland. Bernard is currently a director of DCC plc and Irish Continental Group plc and has previously served on the board of many listed companies in Ireland and the USA.
