

Corporate Restructuring Summit
The Corporate Restructuring Summit 2011 was held on September 29th in The Convention Centre Dublin. The Summit addressed the key challenges facing Ireland in the year ahead and gave a national and international perspective on the restructuring market. Examining the property market and the role of NAMA, the focus was on turnaround, insolvency and recovery. Delegates heard from an outstanding and diverse group of corporate insolvency and restructuring professionals who provided insights into the Irish commercial property market in its current state, the post-NAMA view of the property market and anticipated developments in the Irish restructuring market.
Alan Dukes, Chairman of Anglo Irish Bank and a Former Minister for Finance, provided a review of the Banking Sector.
Bernard Somers was Moderator for a Panel Discussion with Q&A to Brendan McDonagh, CEO, National Asset Management Agency (NAMA).
Other speakers on the day included, Tom Kavanagh, Kavanagh Fennell; David Baxter, A&L Goodbody and John Moran, Jones Lang LaSalle.
